About nextstep South West

nextstep is a free careers advice service for adults:

- aged 20 or more
- aged 18, who have been referred to nextstep by Jobcentre Plus with  
   permission from their Connexions Advisor
- aged 19, who have been referred to nextstep by Jobcentre Plus and 
   who are in receipt of benefits

We offer face-to-face help and support for training, learning and the world of work.

nextstep is a national service, delivered regionally, and this website is for the South West. If you live outside the South West you can find details of your local nextstep office from the Directgov nextstep website.

The service is managed and led by Careers South West Ltd in partnership with Connexions West of England and many other quality assured organisations, to provide the widest range possible of specialist advice and knowledge on local and wider labour market. Careers South West Ltd is registered in England No. 3029947. Registered Office: Tamar Business Park, Pennygillam Industrial Estate, Launceston PL15 7ED.

Your local nextstep service will give you access to information and advice on learning and work. Wherever you are in the South West, you will receive the same high quality service.

We aim to:

· Be professional and really know our business

· Give you information and advice that is independent and unbiased to help
  you make informed decisions

· Make sure that the service we offer are relevant to you and suitable for
  all your needs

· Make you aware of all local and national services that are useful to you

· Encourage and support you into learning or training, finding a job or
  making the most of the job you do now.
